How can I move space from the /home partition to the /usr partition? I get daily notifications that it is over 80% full.

    I am using CentOS 4.9

    Code:
Filesystem Size Used Avail Use% Mounted on
    /dev/hda5 3.0G 1.4G 1.6G 47% /
    /dev/hda1 99M 9.6M 85M 11% /boot
    /dev/hda8 49G 25G 22G 54% /home
    none 490M 0 490M 0% /dev/shm
    /dev/hda6 1012M 42M 919M 5% /tmp
    /dev/hda3 9.9G 7.7G 1.7G 83% /usr
    /dev/hda2 9.9G 1.8G 7.6G 20% /var
    /dev/hdb1 74G 43G 27G 62% /backup
    /tmp 1012M 42M 919M 5% /var/tmp

One possible solution is using GParted: http://gparted.sourceforge.net/
