When I go to change my IPs in the setup, it goes through but when I go back to see it never changed the IPs. When I try to edit resolv.conf manually from SSH it says Permission Denied. I'm su and on root when trying to edit this. Any help?

    ls -l

hmm that is strange, i can't imagine why being logged in as root you can't modify that file. I'll do some research for this one haha :)

    [root@xyz ~]# whoami
    root
    [root@xyz ~]# ls -la /etc/resolv.conf
    -rw-r--r-- 1 root root 65 Dec 26 17:24 /etc/resolv.conf
    [root@xyz ~]# lsattr /etc/resolv.conf
    ----i-------- /etc/resolv.conf

Then tried editing again with same error while trying to save: Permission denied

This is the reason why you can't edit the file. The file is immutable and chattr'd. Run the following command :

    and then

    you should see :

If you see the above, then you will be able to edit the file.
