    Hello,

    I was trying to monitor exim status through its pid, I found one in "/var/spool/exim/exim-daemon.pid" but it does not give me status.

    Where can I find its real process ID which cPanel uses to give status in Server Status link?

    We don't check it by process ID, we check it using this:

    Code:
    service[exim]=25,QUIT,220,/etc/rc.d/init.d/exim stop;/etc/rc.d/init.d/exim stop;/etc/rc.d/init.d/exim stop;/etc/rc.d/init.d/exim start,exim,root|mailnull,220 |EHLO localhost|250 |AUTH PLAIN %service_auth_plain%|2|QUIT|2
    This is the line in /etc/chkserv.d/exim file. We are checking mailnull process is running and then trying to authenticate to exim to confirm it is working.
