More apache hits

    Well I want to know about the apache hits, server is having huge load and there are only apache hits and it also causes memory issue, so please let me know what to do in such conditions. I have tried to upgrade the apache version also tried to upcp but still no luck.

    Hello Prakash,

    If the hits are legitimate, you need to tweak apache according to memory. If it does not fix, upgrade memory in your server.

    If the hits are fake, you need to check whether it is DOS / DDOS. If so you can limit it by installing Mod_Evasive and properly tweaking CSF.
