So I have a Cloud server that I can change things up on, on demand.

If you had a choice to add more CPU's or more memory, would would be your choice, and why?

Thanks for the advice!

More info...

Currently running 2 CPU's and 12 gigs of RAM. While monitoring the system, I can see that it will bounce off 100% CPU usage while the RAM usage remains 5 to 20 percent.

Reading up on the interweb, a lot of articles say adding more RAM is better than CORES. But in the above situation, would this really be true??

Thanks for the help and insight.

Obviously go for more CPU if you're CPU is reaching 100%.

Most of my servers have 800 accounts and an average RAM usage of 24-28GB out of available 64GB. 2vCPUs are very low for running more than 1 website. An average website requires at least one full core to serve requests. My advice... Opt for 4vCores.

So I added just one CPU and watched the CPU usage. It defiantly dropped noticeably!

The highest it spikes to now is about 54 percent, and runs around 20 to 30 percent. I'll keep my eye on it. Thanks for the advice guys.
