Right now, backups run as per whm. Whole /home/user directories are backed up as accountname.tar.gz

Facing a situation where one needs to restore say just public_html and/or database, one has to:

Located the .tar.gz

Download it (in this particular case, 7gb - long process)

Extract gz -> end up with .tar (long process)

Extract tar -> end up with contents of the /home/user directory (long process)

In this, and many cases, email is the largest part of these backups. I sure wish that whm would instead of clumping everything in one double compressed file... that there would be:

account.email.gz
account.public.gz
account.database.gz
account.structure.gz

Or something of the sort.

Having to download a backup full of emails I have nothing to do with is quite frustrating.

The "backup wizard" also is lacking.... it's either "home directory" or "database" WHY NOT public html?

I'd argue more people need to deal with restoring their sites... which is public_html and database than there is for any other type of restoration need, yet, this is the worse process with current options.
