Is it possible to have more than one shared IP address on a server?

EG, to assign a particular IP for shared customers, JUST for a reseller?

I've tried doing this in WHM by trying to put two sites on the same IP (not the main server IP), but once an IP has been assigned to a site, the Ip is no longer in the list if I want to &change IP& of the other site.

Any ideas if this can be done?

Wasn't there a limit of 255 sites to each shared IP anyway? I'm sure a lot of hosts have a few more accounts than that on their servers

Thanks

as I've read ... you cant use 2 shared ips with WHM...
but you can do it manually :)

I really hope that at least would be possible to assign one dedicated IP to a reseller ... so that all accounts of each &dedicated& reseller are created under this IP, and not on the main shared ip.
I know someone told me ... &use a generic name on your shared ip& ... but why? this su*s...

If you want to do this manually... just add a site ... then edit your httpd.conf, add the line NameVirtualServer for the IP you want to share ... then change your site's ip for the other ip (and change dns too)... and voilá...
I'm doing this actually to one of my resellers... and I really hope not to get another private account... cause I need to setup this for every accoun the reseller creates :(

maybe in a 55 build ? .. ;)

Thanks a lot for the reply :)

I really do hope they add this feature soon, as I'm not too confident messing around with the httpd.conf file directly ;)

Thanks again
