Right now only 3 people can be logged on to the FTP at them same time, how do I change it to 6 or more? :)

Which ftp server are you using, proftpd or pureftpd?

    Edit the following file:

    /etc/sysconfig/pureftpd

    and set the value

    --maxclientsperip=3

    to

    --maxclientsperip=6

or any other value you require. Be sure to protect the file from cPanel updates by issuing:

    chattr +i /etc/sysconfig/pureftpd

Every now and again unprotect it (chattr -i) to allow cPanel to update it and make the required changes again. This just makes sure you don't miss anything important.

Would the configuration file option override the command line option, or is it the other way round?

If so, setting the following in /etc/pure-ftpd.conf would remove the need for chattr:

    PerUserLimits 6

proftpd is usually configured with a maxium concurrency of 30 connections for the whole daemon. Have a look in /etc/proftpd.conf for MaxInstances. You can restrict connections per domain too, but will need to have a look through the proftpd documentation:
    http://www.proftpd.org/docs/faq/Configuration.html
