Movable Type

    is possible if movable type will be included on the new version/update of cPanel ?

    No, as the Movable Type licencing forbids this.

    yeah but there's Movable Type Personal Free Edition , so perhaps its can be added in new version of cPanel

    Hi,

    We have been asked for years to add MT to our Auto-Installer but even with Movable Type Personal Free Edition it requires a license that you must get from there site and no install uses the same license even if it's free edition. Also there license terms for free still state you can't distribute it, which kind of sucks as it's a great script and would be a nice addition.

    Sure it may suck that you can't auto install movable type but if it was me wanting to use it i'd just click onto www.sixapart.com/movabletype and grab the free version, install it on my server using their tech documentation and then have it done, rather than waste my time emailing them to complain when nothing will happen.

    Just a thought tho :p

    So long as you're abiding by their license terms, that's fine. cPanel are only ever likely to include addon applications offered under the GPL or similar license.

    MT has more holes than a submarine with a screen-door.

    Why not use its PHP counterpart that will not kill your server, try wordpress unless you are a glutten for punishment.
