Can I move a database to a new cPanel user simply by editing the .yaml files in /var/cpanel/databases/

To be more clear, I have several databases that are not currently associated with any cPanel account. I am planning a server migration, and I am hoping that if I modify the .yaml file, the additional database will be included with the WHM transfer.

So the only rights I really need at this point, is for the "Copy multiple accounts" root WHM tool, to be able to include these databases in the move.

    Hello :)

    I recommend using:

"WHM Home » SQL Services » Database Map Tool"

The Database Map Tool allows you to assign ownership of databases and database users to specific cPanel accounts. This ownership is retained in the internal mapping of databases to users and will allow management of the databases from within the owner’s cPanel interface.

    Thank you.
