How can I "push" a hosted domain from one user account to another?

Reseller account? If so it is under the reseller center, change ownership of an account.

No, not a reseller. A user under a reseller. One of my users is having another user take over their web site so I wanted to transfer it to their account.

I am confused  Are you talking about a webpage or a domain named. Are you talking about pushing a domain name to a different owner or in a billing software. I can't see how you can change a name for cPanel. Can you help me understand this better.

If you are referring to moving a resold account from one reseller to another on the same server,
vi /var/cpanel/users/<cpanelusername> (use the resold accountusername)
    look for
    OWNER=
This would be the current reseller username. Change this to the new reseller username.
    Then run /scripts/updateuserdomains

The domain should now be listed on the second reseller whm.

    Hi,

Basically I have myself as the only reseller on the WHM box so all accounts are under me. I have two customers of mine with two separate hosting accounts; different domains, and usernames. One customer would like to pass one of their domain's hosting to another customer on the same server. I guess I could just try and do this manually on the command line, but I was hoping there was a way to do it through the control panel.

If they are not resellers then they both are staying under your reseller name. There is nothing to change. You can reassign ownership from one reseller to another easily using WHM if they are resellers.

Lets say they are sitea and siteb. Sitea is the new owner, you could make the sitea a reseller, then reassign ownership of siteb to sitea. But again if your the only reseller there is not push an account to a new owner, you have them both already.

I want "newowner" to see the domain in their cPanel. I don't know that the proper terminology is here, but it seems like my questions is not being interpreted properly.

I just simply want to move a website from "oldowner" to "newowner" so that "oldowner" does not see that domain any longer in the cpanel, and "newowner" does see it and can admin it. "oldowner" is giving a domain/website to "newowner" for them to manage.

Is that more clear I hope?

Hi, I am trying to help....

If you are not talking about a reseller account you must be talking about an Add-on domain in cPanel? Generally your domains are owned through reseller accounts in WHM, but I have seen some people use cpanel and addon domains, instead of using WHM and reseller.

Is that what you are talking about. Moving an add-on domain from one cPanel account to another?

I would also do a cPanel backup on the account on both accounts first just in case a mistake is made, then you can restore and try again :)

That looks like it will work, except what about databases?
