Hi, I have shared hosting with cPanel, and I'm changing to another host also with cPanel.

The posts I've read refer to using WHM on the new side.

However I don't have access to WHM (as far as I know) on either side.

What is the approach to backup / restore without having WHM access?

    thanks,

Surely the web hosting company would do this for you?

    If not...

go to your shared hosting account on the server you wish to move from, click backup wizard, follow all the instructions + make sure you back up the home directory and databases.

Once backed up, download it from the /home/(yourusername) directory (date-username.tar.gz)

Once downloaded, go to your new cPanel, and click back up, you then have the option to restore your back up. Once done, it should be working for you.

    Have a great day :D
