Hello, i am not sure if this is the right section to ask but i have a slight little problem with a full backup of an account i have on a cpanel server.

I had a server (vps) that i had to close and move to another. There i had an email account in one of my accounts that i had contact lists in one of my emails. (Saved emails contacts). I got a full directory backup that i restored to the new server and i saw that the contacts are missing. Is there a way to restore them from the backup ? Please i really need them !!!

Hello,

Can you verify which Webmail application (E.g. Horde, Roundcube) you used to originally setup the contact list?

Thank you.

Hello,

Can you verify if the Roundcube SQLite database exists at the /home/$username/etc/$domain/$username.rcube.db path? If not, does this file exist in your backup? Do you have copies of account backups generated through the WHM backup feature, or do you only have a copy of the filesystem?

Thank you.

i don't have SSH access at all ! so i cannot check if the /var/lib/mysql/roundcube exists in the new server. And i don't have access to the previous server as it has been deleted (it was a VPS).

If the previous server was deleted, then it's possible the Roundcube data was stored in a MySQL database and thus is no longer available. I recommend checking with your current hosting provider for help with how to proceed.

Thank you.
