Moving a reseller account to a new server, where it is not the reseller

Any suggestions on how to move a reseller account to a new server, where it is not the reseller?

I use Cpanel on the old server to generate the full backup and move it to the new server. I restore from WHM on the new server.

There seem to be problems where the back up is not restoring most things in public_html and creating lots of zero byte files.

Any suggestions?

How about removing reseller privileges on the original server first, then move over to the new location. See if that works better for you.
