Moving accounts between servers - procedure question

I'm new to this so please excuse.

I plan on using the transfer tool in whm 62 to move an account to a new server. That part seems OK.

I'm not sure of two things.

1) should you create the account on the new server first, or does the transfer tool do that?

2) When using WHMCS with two servers, should you change the server listing to the new server before or after the transfer?

Any help appreciated.

1 The transfer tool will recreate the account from your backup.
2 I would wait until you've moved your accounts properly. There was a Feature Request for this some time ago. See the comments there:
