    Hi,

I have a domain with many addon domain.

Now the client need to move the addon domain to its own domain, so each addon domain get its own cpanel.

I can create new hosting a/c for addon domain, then move database and files to newly created a/c. Is there any way to move existing mails to the new doamin with out recreating the mail accounts ?

    Thanks,

    Yujin

Or alternatively, even if the emails have to be recrreated, is there a way to backup each addon email account for each person who has an email in the addon and then recreate that email as as a separate domain and then upload the messages.

The main goal is to retain the emails.

(I am working with the original poster)

    Thanks,

Moving the messages is easy. Simply
    Code:
    mv -v /home/old_user/mail/addon.domain /home/new_user/mail

The difficult part (only because it involves more steps) is moving the configuration from the old account to the new account.
