    Hi.

Due to hard disk space issues I'd need to move cpanel from /usr/local to, fe, /home. Is there any issue on that? Is it safe?

    Thanks for your time.

It's on another partition (/var would be ok too), I need to free this one :(

PS: don't let your provider format your hard drive: tell him the size of the partitions :)

Moving cPanel/WHM do a different path will likely result in a non-functional server.

Theoretically, you could move the /usr/local/cpanel folder to somewhere else
and then leave a symlink at the original location pointing to the new location
but I have not tried this for Cpanel specifically.
