What do you think about sticking Eaccelerator outside of tmp in its own folder so one never has to worry about overloading tmp? Or are there other ways to control the size of eaccelerator folder in tmp so it never has the ability to overrun tmp? It seems that the tmp is used for many things and eaccelerator hogging the largest amount of space could cause a issue later on. does moving the folder affect the performance? I was thinking of just moving to var/eaccelerator.

Thoughts?

I moved mine to /home/eacc, I have had it running this way for more than a year and don't see much of a difference in performance. The one problem is that the folder keeps growing so you might want to do a cron to delete files older than x days (unless there is a eaccelarator config that can easily be changed)
