Hello I am a relative Cpanel noob, I am predominantly a web designer and I host the websites I have produced on a Cpanel reseller account (currently ~30 accounts).

I am not happy with my provider anymore though, and have decided to move. I have purchased another reseller account with a different provider and I am now wondering how do I go about transferring all my accounts from my old.cpanel.server -> new.cpanel.server?

    Many thanks in advance.

Does your new provider give you access to WHM's transfer utilities?

You'd be wise to edit your DNS records to show a low value, that way you minimize downtime. When I used to move accounts between servers, I would set the ttl's on the domains to 60 seconds a day before, that way when you change your nameservers there is little downtime. If you don't have access to the transfer utilities, you can ask your new host if they will do the transfer for you, it would require the username/password of each account. Alternatively, you could create a full backup of the site in cPanel and restore it on the new box.

Like I said, I'm a Cpanel noob, how can I tell if I have access to WHM transfer utilities?

If I don't, how do I do a full site backup? (I assume this backs up all my sub accounts in one go?)

    Thanks :]

Reseller accounts do not have access to the transfer utilities, that would be something your current and future hosting providers have access to.

As a reseller, your best choice is to generate a full site backup for each cPanel account (click the Backup icon in the cPanel interface) then transfer that file to the new hosting provider and have your new hosting provider restore that file.
