Hi everyone, I am in the process of moving my email from a local server over to my external server running cPanel. I have made the request to change the dns of mail.mysite.com to point to the new server.

My problem now is figuring out if I setup my email in cPanel under mail.mysite.com or mysite.com. The acual website is still hosted at IBM but I want the email to be stored on this server.

If anyone could help me that would be great, I am currently setting up the email addresses on both mail.mysite.com and mysite.com just incase. Thanks

    u r fine

hello man you are doing fine . All you need to do is setup mail accounts from cpanel , and then change your MX entry in your dns zone to point to the new server (which, from what you have said you hava already done ) .
    :)

EXIM may still think the domain is local.
I'm having this problem at the moment, and the script that sends mail from
the web server still sends mail to local, not MX. How do we fix this?
