    Hi;

    We are preparing to our cPanel servers to a new location and new IP addresses. One issue that I do not know how to solve.
    How can I mass update all the zone files to include the new IP address of the server?

    Thanks!

    Hello,

    Hope you are migrating accounts using the WHM accounts transfer utility. If yes, tick "Express Transfer" check box for each account you need to migrate and it will update the correcponding DNS zone files on your source server with the IP address of the partiicualr account on the destination server.

    More detailed explanation is available at Copy Multiple Accounts/Packages from Another Server

    Thank you,
    Nibin.

    Hi nibin;

    Thanks for your reply!
    We won't be changing server, only the servers IP address.

    Thanks!

    Hello :)

    You should also consider using the IP Migration Wizard, documented at:

    IP Migration Wizard

    This will automatically convert the DNS Zones to the new IP address for you.

    Thank you.

    Generally, the Express Transfer tool works fantastic. It seems as though it will not transfer a site if the .tar.gz is any larger than 500mb. It will just hang and eventually crash the new server; however, I have plenty of processing power (Quad Core Xeon, 6gb ram, SSD).

    Please HELP!
