    Hi,

I want to move a web site from one cpanel server to another.

I tryed the WHM account transfer, but it fails with Timeout ...

The site have serveral sub domains, have total size of 15 GB.

Can any one tell me how to backup this account alone, that is similar to /scripts/cpbackup but this this site. Once i backup, i can move the user.tar.gz file to new server and restore it.

I don not want to move the existing backup file in /backup as its not uptodate.

I just want to generate a fresh backup for this site alone, then move to new server.

Is there any other easy way to do ?

    Regards,

    Yujin

ima assume you have something resembling root access if so get on a ssh client and type along

btw you need apache still working for this... and after you tar the file move it to a active site so you can wget it

    _____on the old server____________

    cd /home
    tar -cf site.tar <foldername>
    mv site.tar /home/<activesite>/www

    ____on the new server_________

    cd /home
    wget <active site url>
    tar xfv site.tar

that should do it, you may need to remake the account on the new serevr then un pack the contents into it
