I will be moving several sites to a server located in a different NOC. There is a trust relationship between the servers, sharing the same nameservers.

I know how to use the site copying tools in WHM to get them to the new server, and my test accounts have moved fine.
Once a site is moved, how long before I should delete the 'old' account on the 1st server. Also, should I manually do anything to the DNS to send traffic to the 'new' site or is this something that happens when you copy a site?

On one of my test accounts, once moved I immediately deleted the old account...the domain then started showing the generic apache page 'Hey, It worked'.

I'd like to move some accounts over but do it as seemlessly as possible. What steps should follow to make that happen.

I recently moved all my accounts to a new server. After I moved them I went back into the old server and updated the DNS records. I then notified the domain name owner and had them update their nameservers (not needed if you are keeping the same ones). I will wait until all domain names have propogated plus a few days as sometimes email can take a bit longer to catch up.

Just for clarification. In this scenario, the only thing I would have to change in the DNS is the IP address of the site, correct? Nameservers, etc will still be the same.
