    i want to move all accounts on my old server to the new one. i already setup the new server, so now i can start moving accounts. my problem is how to assign a new IP to my nameservers?

    for example current nameservers have this IPs:
    ns1.domain.com IP: 100.100.100.100
    ns2.domain.com IP: 100.100.100.101

    now when i try to assign new IP for ns1.domain.com and ns2.domain.com via WHM "Nameserver IPs" page, i get this error message:

    Sorry, the nameserver ns1.domain.com already has the ip 100.100.100.100 assigned to it.

    so how to assign IP on my nameservers? i don't want to change my nameservers as if i change it, me/my customer should edit domain name nameserver too.

    thanks

    I'm going through the same thing you are right now. I had to modify the nameservers my server was setup with. Edit the file /etc/nameserverips and place the nameserver name next to the IP you want it to be at.

    Example:
    Code:
    12.34.567.01=ns1.domainname.com
    12.34.567.02=ns2.domainname.com
    12.34.567.03=0
    12.34.567.04=0
    12.34.567.05=0

    Also, take a look at http://forums.cpanel.net/showthread.php?t=47131 (my current thread) for some more info on how to switch servers.

    Good luck!
