MTA's poor reputation

    554 Your access to this mail system has been rejected due to the sending
    MTA's poor reputation. If you believe that this failure is in error, please
    contact the intended recipient via alternate means.

    SMTP error from remote mail server after initial connection:
    host mx-luv.domain.is [xxx.xxx.xxx.x]: 554-mx-luv.domain.is
    554 Your access to this mail system has been rejected due to the sending
    MTA's poor reputation. If you believe that this failure is in error, please
    contact the intended recipient via alternate means.

    how can i fix this ? i can send from mail i made on the server to another mail i made on the server but i can not mail to another e-mail here in iceland ?

    My first guess would be that your server ism on a RBL list somewhere. There are lots of free tools for checking that. If your server comes up clean, then you may need to contact the domain that is rejecting your mail to find out why.

    witch tool do you recommend ? i dont know what to look for :confused:

    You might be listed on Senderbase which in turn is used by Cisco's Ironport security firewall to slow down spam. If so you should be able to find the reason on there and from a experience from them a few weeks ago, the only thing you can do is wait for enough good mail volume from your server to get back to a Neutral or Good rating. It took 7 days for a server I have to go from poor to neutral after we were removed from any rbl's they use.. Another 7 days to go from neutral to good.. The impact is a lot of cell phone companies use this firewall and as long as you are at a poor rating, mail bounces with a similar message as you posted.
