Dear All,

I have to transfer multiple accounts from one server to other, the server where now accounts exist is based on Red Hat Linux OS and new server is CentOS, so i want to keep stats, data, emails, passwords as intact which option is best from WHM which are listed below, the accounts are around 400.

Copy an account from another server

Copy an account from another server with account password

Copy multiple accounts from another server

Waiting for some informative and detailed reply from any person which have experience with this.

Regards,
Umer

"Copy multiple accounts from another server" will be your choice. you will need to enter your SSH details for the Redhat box on your Centos box which will allow you to select a list of accounts from RedHat box to transfer over.

Personally, I have found it easier to transfer accounts via SSH than through WHM, and more reliable in the long run when dealing with large numbers.

Run this for each account.
Code:
# /scripts/pkgacct username
Then transfer all the files to the new server.
Code:
# scp username1.tar.gz username2.tar.gz username3.tar.gz [email protected]:~
Once the files are transferred, just unpack them on the new machine.
Code:
# scripts/restorepkg username
