Multiple Nameservers for single IP

    hello
    Is it possible to have multiple nameservers over a single IP , If so then how can i do it .

    Not exactly sure what you are asking. Do you mean is it possible to have multiple DNS servers running off the same IP?

    If that is the case, then the answer is yes. Is it recommended, definitely not. But if you want to provide ns1.whatever.com and ns2.whatever.com off the same box, go right ahead. cPanel/WHM will let you do this.

    Some DNS verification sites may complain about this though

    i have 2 ips abc.abc.abc.abc and xyz.xyz.xyz.xyz ,
    i want to set ns1.domain1.com and ns1.domain2.com on abc.abc.abc.abc and ns2.domain1.com and ns2.domain2.com on xyz.xyz.xyz.xyz .

    You'll want to set up the ABC server as the master DNS server and setup the XYZ server as the slave DNS server. The slave will pull DNS updates off the master whenever you make a change to a DNS Zone on the master server.

    The rest is as easy as normal, just saying ns2 points to XYZ and ns1 points to ABC. Hope that makes sense.
