I have a situtation in which our hosting company has lost all the data for our site (www.authentic-campaigner.com). All they have been able to provide us are 28 individual files that appear to be some sort of multi-volume backup. They are named cpmove-authent.tar.gz.part1, cpmove-authent.tar.gz.part2 and so on till 28. The files total just under 1 GB. I have tried opening them with various software packages including gzip, winzip, and WinRAR.
I have been told cpanel generates this type of files when moving sites from one location to another. Is this true? If so how can I recover them? I have tried going into cpanel and restoring a home directory backup with no luck.
