Multiple WHM users

    Hi there,

    We currently have 3 new staff members starting and I need to give them WHM access to 4 servers - However, I dont want to give them SSH access just WHM is it possible to use the Wheel User to allow them access to WHM?

    The main issue with granting root-level WHM access is even if you don't grant them SSH access and don't make them owners of their own account, they could still create an account and set that account to have normal SSH access rather than jailed SSH.

    Thanks for the reply.

    I just want to give them access, so they can check system status and change passwords, do normal day - to - day functions.

    That is the typical reasoning behind granting root-level WHM access. All I'm mentioning is given the level of access they would have, they could always pry themselves into SSH if they desired (but they wont have root-level SSH access and unless they're in the wheel group, wont be able to su to root anyway). Not that it makes SSH access perfectly fine, but it's not as risky as giving the entire staff root SSH access.

    Note that root-level access to WHM does not mean the user has root privileges via SSH. Only "root" has root privileges via SSH.
