My munin bandwidth graph is set to graph bits per second. For httpd traffic, it graphs accurately (in sync with what my datacenter graphs on their rtg graphs at the router.) However I notice when I do an ftp transfer at 3 mbps the munin graph spikes and shows ~30 mbps. This seems repeatable and if I stop the ftp transfer the graph returns to normal httpd traffic level which is around 3 to 5 mbps. If I resume the 3 mbps ftp transfer the graph spikes up to around 27 to 30 mbps again. Everything is bits per second here; the ftp account is a cpanel account main ftp account.
Any ideas?
