When the domain expired it's nameservers were changed to the registrar's nameservers.
When you renewed the domain the nameservers were changed back.
The problem is that the change is not visible immediately, it must propagate, and that can take up to 48 hours.

Check that the nameservers are correct, and if they are then you just wait...

If you have deleted the subdomain folder and trying to setup the subdomain then it won't setup. If subdomains are not visible in your cPanel then you need to contact your hosting provider. Probably some entries of sub domains seems to be missing on server which caused them disappeared from your cPanel. Deleting subdomain folders will not remove subdomains as always. You need to remove them from cPanel completely.

Have you cleared the dns cache and ping your subdomains just to ensure they are pointing correctly. If ping report is still not showing correct IP address then you will have to wait for some time more.

Ive already tried that method, but no luck. I guess it has something to do with the hosting site itself?
