To clarify, there are not settings you can change without root access to the system. Your hosting provider would have to make any changes to the Memcached configuration settings.

It looks like we may have communicated that incorrectly. In other words, this isn't something you will have access to change as a shared hosting customer. You will need to reach out to your web hosting provider or consider upgrading to a VPS or dedicated server if you want to make those changes.

Yes, they already installed it, the only thing left is for me to use it, that is why I asked a question about if memcached is applicable to my shared hosting plan.
