I just noticed this when I reinstalled my operating system last night, It's no long requiring you to have this checked using pop3 connection, is this a problem and is it happening to anyone else?

Not happening to everyone else, as people would be up in arms and we would all be blacklisted for spamming. Try restarting exim as this will bring antirelayd back online.

    service exim restart

Yeah, I tried all the usual stuff like restarting and browsing logs, I can't seem to find anything wrong other than its not authenticating senders.

    Is your IP/hostname listed in /etc/relayhosts ?

hmmm, How excactly is that suppose to work? My ip & Hostname is in this file, I remove it, restart exim and it just adds it back still without authenticating. I know absolutly jack about how exim works as I've never had any problems with it.

Your IP/hostname is added in there by the POP daemon. If you see an IP/hostname in that file, that computer is allowed to relay threw your machine.

If your old IP/hostname continue to be injected into the relayhosts file, you may have a 'stuck' POP server process. You can fix this by doing:

    killall -9 cppop
    /scripts/restartsrv cppop
