MyDNS and deleted records

I've switched from Bind to MyDNS. When I create an entry in any zone, a new record is inserted in my mydns_servername database AND in the /var/named/zone.db file used by former Bind. When I delete an entry in any zone, /usr/local/cpanel/logs/dnsadmin_log is updated but the record is not deleted from the database.

So, is MyDNS really using the MySQL database or is it reading from Bind files?

Hello

The database is not cleaned on every save because it creates too much overhead. This should not cause any problems with DNS resolution. You should see the orphaned entries removed when you delete your next DNS zone.
