    Dear scliff,

Most of the bugs with the current version could be fixed through some means.

But let us hope the next version incorporates mysql 4.0.16

    Regards,

It's the 13th of November already, over two weeks since 4.0.16 was released, and Cpanel still isn't upgrading it.

Any ETA on when this will be included?

And when you asked DarkOrb the same question, they said ...

I haven't seen an announcement from Cpanel regarding when mysql will be updated.

    I don't have a darkorb licence, I have a Cpanel licence.

Don't let that stop you from asking them questions. Every WHM includes

    Support > Support Center > Contact cPanel.net

Although it does state, "You should contact your vendor for support before contacting cPanel.net" it doesn't mean you cannot contact them at all. Only that they not be the first choice.

    *bump*

No answer from Cpanel on this issue.

This IS the Cpanel support forum, right? Do they have another forum where they actually answer simple questions? I don't want to be posting in the wrong place.

No, this is a cpanel user forum. To be sure of a response from cpanel staff you will have to submit a ticket.

Ah, blind leading the blind. Great.

Well, I submitted a ticket. I'll post here if/when they respond.

We just installed c-panel on a new freebsd box and see
4.0.16 is compiled into it. MySQL is running after the build, but localhost as root does not have access to it and need to spend time trying to figure out why...UGHHH.
