    Hello guys,

On October 28th, cPanel upgraded to MySQL 4.0.22. Ever since this time, I have seen mysql locking up on multiple servers. When you enter "mysql" on the command line, it just hangs. Further, apache processes hang and apache eventually crashes. I enabled mysql logging and do not see any specific query causing this.

Previosuly, we would see "too many connections" errors once in awhile and now mysql locks up instead. It's almost like like when it reaches the max connections, processes wait for a connection instead of getting this error now.

Anyone else seeing this or have any ideas?

    Thanks guys!

    Hello
Try to upgrade your mysql version to the latest one. and also optimize the my.cnf file in /etc . It will help a lot.

    Thax
