    Hi guys.

CPanel now only install MySQL 5

How can I get 4.1 installed?

I know 4.x is EOL at the end of the year but I still have customers that need it. How can I do this with cpanel since it is forcing us to use 5?

I understand CPanel is trying to move forward my 4.1 is not EOL until december. Not sure why they are forcing us to use 5.

Any help would be appreciated it.

    Thanks ;)

We've been recommending MySQL 5.0 for new installs for years now. I can't speak for the developers, but we haven't had many issues reported about MySQL 5.0 lately and making it the default just re-enforces our recommendation of using MySQL 5.0 instead of 4.1.

If you definitely want 4.1, submit a support ticket and our support team can assist you with that: http://tickets.cpanel.net/submit
