    Hey Guys,

I would like to install mysql 5 on my dev server, and have a few questions.

    1) I see from another post its on the beta tree, and should hopefully be on the bleeding edge soon. Where can I check to see when it is released onto the edge tree?

    2) Has anyone managed to upgrade to mysql 5? I dont really want to update to bleeding edge as I like to keep my dev server only a little infront of my production servers. Any general adivce on the pro & cons of manually updating mysql would be great !

    Thanks in advance guys

    Go on, have a guess
To answer the first question, you need to keep an eye on http://layer2.cpanel.net when EDGE hits the version in the changelog where v5 is a feature you can then upgrade to EDGE and it'll be there.
