    I don't know if it's db governor's problem (I am using Cloudlinux),
Something with suphp or MySQL 5.5 itself.

On a few boxes that I upgraded to 5.5 from 5.1 I have constantly high cpu loads
    reaching 600 and 800% mysqld.

Using mysqladmin proc I see many stuck processes from users.
Processes that before with 5.1 never happened. CPU load that never had
at the same boxes with 5.1. They just started after the upgrade. The very same day.

I have to restart mysql several times per day because of that.

I miss something in configuration of 5.5 Mysql or it's a bug ? (And affecting only me? ^^ :D )

Process stuck? I think this may be the MySQL governor, could be at least. Did you tried to turn it off and see what happens?

Did you checked the I/O on the drives? That could be a problem. suPHP is quite intensive on drive access and if CloudLinux is running somehow wrong with MySQL 5.5 maybe drive could be choking.
