    I add myself as an access host to the mysql database cpanel, but I still cannot connect to my database remotely using mysqlfront. Instead, I get the error:

    1045 - Access denied for user: 'user@xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx' (Using password: YES)

    Where 'user' is my username and the xxx's are my ip. I try adding my ip as an access host, %.cfl.rr.com (my cable provider), and just a %... but none work.

    Any ideas?

    Dear payne,

    Please make sure that you have connect the database remotely using this

    mysql -h hostname -D database -u user -p

    If you still have problem with this,then try to add the user from the mysql prompt. Executing \"Flush Privileges\" will clear most of your problem. Try to add the user using this

    GRANT ALL PRIVILEGES ON database.* TO user@localhost IDENTIFIED BY \'password\';

    I hope this might help you to solve your problem.

    Regards,

    Thanks, MM!
    I realized my problem was that I was trying to connect using the cpanel un/pw rather than the mysql un/pw created in the cpanel. Good grief.

    I have got the signup script that is used on http://www.warwithboredom.com uses to signup for email acounts via a html form and it posts the username and password to the sql but isnt setting up the pop account WITHIN cpanel.

    I use the Xskin theme. However it doesn't modify the database used within cpanel - any further ideas?

    thanks in advance
