Every night when backups run, and thus a moderate load is placed on the system, MySQL and eximstats crash one or two times. Those appear to be the only services that crash, and they always come right back up thanks to checkservd (or whatever that thing is called).

    The system is FreeBSD: FreeBSD <hostname> 5.4-RELEASE FreeBSD 5.4-RELEASE #1: Sun May 22 21:19:44 EDT 2005

    MySQL version 4.0.24

Any ideas about where to start looking to track down the issue?

Have the same happening here, upgraded one server to 4.0.25 and all ports and did not crash last night.

Did another this morning, will let you know if this fixed it.

if your nightly upcp cron email is:
    MySQL Setup Script Version 6.0
This is the MySQL installer for OS FreeBSD
    mysql-client-4.0 (4.0.25) is already installed.
    mysql-client-4.0 (4.0.25) is already installed.
    mysql-server-4.0 (4.0.25) is already installed.
    mysql-server-4.0 (4.0.25) is already installed.
    Install Complete

    then you are OK.

    if not,
    run:
    /scripts/sysup
    :)

backup MySQL and better update through ports manually.
