Wondering what could be causing a server to have mysql and httpd spiking to 99% cpu usage for a couple seconds at a time. My server loads are shooting up past 3.0 and the server only hosts a couple dozen php websites.

I've checked the mysql process list and there is nothing hung up or out of the ordinary and apache appears to be working fine also.

Just wondering what could be causing this though it doesn't seem to be affecting performance that much.

    Thanks!
