When accessing the backup section of cPanel you are given the option to download backups of your mySQL databases.

These come in .gz files however when you open them they are empty.

We are running cPanel 4.8.0-31, anyone else seeing this problem?

I ran into this problem once before. Are you logged in as the actual account &user and password& or just the user account and your root password? I had this happen when I logged into the customer's cpanel using the root password. I went back in and used the account pasword and it worked fine.

Hi,

I tried both several times but still couldn't get the backup to work. Just keep getting empty files!
