mysql backup mannually

HI all..


if i would like to take mysql backup using rsync commaond or script how can i do this?
i would like to take weekly backup of mysql dir.
i would like to take Incremental backup of mysql only.

Please guid me for the scripts.

Quick way:
mysqldump --opt -Q -u user -p password > /home/username/backups/date_dump.sql

I use rsync alot set in a cron job to ftp over to a backup server.
rsync -avz -e ssh /var [email protected]
