i have new cpanel server installation with mysql 5.1 default, i dont know how to downgrade
i have crash server with old version 5.0 and rsync/copy to new cpanel server mysql 5.1

mysql normal, i can connect to mysql using bash shell

    mysql -u blalba_blalba -p

    big problem on web server:
php connection display "Error establishing a database connection" mysql passoword invalid.
    Before server crash, everything normal.

try using WHM MySQL Upgrade, php always display invalid password.

Did you run EasyApache on the server to ensure MySQL's PHP module is setup right?

Next, provide the full error message rather than a synopsis of it for one of the PHP scripts.
