MySql Clean reinstall

    Hi I hawe mysql.sock problem and I serching about 2 days and have some post on: http://forums.cpanel.net/showthread.php?t=51471&highlight=mysql
    But my problem not solved.
    Now I want to remove this mysql from server and install a fresh and new mysql
    I take copy from /var/lib/mysql folder(for backing up users banks) and delete /tmp/mysql.sock /etc/my.cnf and please guide me to have a new my sql.

    in the path /scripts you have scripts to reinstall mysql .

    I know it,is there any other way for installing mysql?
    I use /scripts/mysqlup --force
