I am with shared hosting on Canaca.

Today when I went to my forum it showed an error message referring to no SQL.

I went to cpanel. There are NO SQL databases listed. NONE. I am the only person with access to cpanel and I did NOT delete them or change them in anyway in weeks.

My files all appear to still be in file manager.

I am at a loss what to do at this point.

I have googled and others have reported Canaca dropping their SQL databases from time to time as well with recovery of them occuring in as long as a week out after a tech ticket is submitted.

Can I just start another database? It's a forum so I am not sure what happens with all the old posts etc that are currently on the forum.

If your host provider takes regular backups then it is good idea to restore database from backup instead of creating new database.
