I have one client who host with me claims that his database frequently missing from the server. I login using SSH and check at /var/lib/mysql/user and found it is empty. I wonder whether this is due to server problem or his PHP script problem. Can anybody tell me how to check this out.

We load back the backup and it is working but our client keep blaming us that our server giving problem. I want to be sure that this problem does not come from our server, is there anyway that we can know whether PHP script error or server having problem.

At the same time we have other clients who use mysql database in our server and never complaint anything, we suspect the PHP scripts giving problem but our client keep saying their script is good and our server having problem.

    Hey

check his database name doesnt start with the username for his domain.
I had it were cpanel was kindly resetting the password for the database.

Its a bit strange for the entire database to go missing though.

If its a problem, open a ticket with cpanel and let them have a look.

    cheers

Thank for your reply. Is there any log files that show database activities such as deleted etc.
