    Hi,
I have a client wanting to change one of their database names into something not containing the first "username" part ie . Currently Cpanel adds "username_" in front of all database names created. Can a database be renamed removing this front part and still be recognised by Cpanel and function correctly?

    Thanks.

Yep.. that sums it up. If the database gets change to somthing other than user_dbase then cpanel will not know what username it belongs to.
