This is has happened on a server for me also.

The DB's do not appear in the mysql section of cpanel. They do appear in phpmyadmin and they are present in the /var/lib/mysql dir.

    Any solutions to this yet?

I've encountered this as well on some of my servers. I tried /scripts/makecpphp and that didn't help.

Same problem here. You can't create any new databses either. Can't they get anything bloody right?

This is due to the fact that the PathTools perl module developer released an update that broke cpanel's internal mysqladmin. The problem is that they rewrote some of the code in Cwd so that it was perl 5.10 specific, there is a patch out to use the new version but it has not yet been evaluated by our quality assurance team. PathTools 3.2501 should work fine.

If you are seeing the following text in /usr/local/cpanel/logs/error_log:

/usr/local/cpanel/bin/mysqladmin: symbol lookup error: /usr/lib/perl5/5.8.8/i686-linux/auto/Cwd/Cwd.so: undefined symbol: strlcpy

you should run the following command to fix:

    rm -f /home/.cpcpan/modules.versions
    /scripts/perlinstaller --force Cwd

If this does not work, you can manually install http://ftp2.tnc.edu.tw/cdperl/Cwd/PathTools-3.2501.tar.gz to fix this.
